RONNIE YESKEL HONORED BY METHOD FEST

Casting Director Receives 2nd Annual "Heart of Performance Award" at the Method Fest

Casting Director, Ronnie Yeskel, was selected by the Casting Society of America (CSA) and The Method Fest Independent Film Festival to receive the 2nd Annual "Heart of Performance Award" at the 6th annual Method Fest Independent Film Festival held April 9, 2004 in Burbank, California. CSA President Richard Hicks presented the award to Ronnie on behalf of the Casting Society of America.

"Casing Directors are a vital part of the independent filmmaking process," said Katy Wallin, CSA Vice President. "We are very proud that Ronnie received this award for her outstanding achievements as a casting director and are also extremely pleased that the festival is recognizing the important role that a casting director plays in independent films."

Ronnie's casting credits include Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Igby Goes Down, Dude, Where's My Car?, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The 70s, Waking the Dead, Hope Floats, Bean, Jake 2.0, and L.A. Law. She has recently cast When Do We Eat?, Blade: Trinity and The Nickel Children.

Named for the "Stanislavski Method" which brought truth and realism to the world of acting, The Method Fest is the only major film festival in the U.S. that pays homage to the actor. The Method Fest is truly The Actor's Film Festival, a festival of Discovery, seeking breakout-acting performances of emerging stars and established actors in story-driven independent films.

"Casting a film, particularly an Indie film, is a difficult challenge for any filmmaker," says Don Franken, Method Fest Executive Director. "A casting director such as Ronnie Yeskel can make the difference between a good film and a great film."

The 6th annual The Method Fest festival ran from April 2-8, 2004 at the AMC Media City Center 8 Theatres in Downtown Burbank.

With over 360 members nationwide and in Canada, The Casting Society of America (CSA) is an organization of professional Casting Directors from all fields: feature films, television and theatre. The organization's goal is to provide a standard and level of professionalism within the field on which the entertainment community can rely.
